People who experience a constant nasal discharge may be exhibiting one of the warning symptoms of chronic sinusitis, according to Mayo Clinic.

The good news is, those who experience these chronic sinus symptoms can seek treatment at the Arizona Breathe Free Sinus & Allergy Center.

“Treating sinusitis can have significant financial impact over time when multiple over-the-counter medications, antibiotics and steroids are having to be purchased to manage it," Diana Ruiloba, a physician assistant at Arizona Breathe Free, told Arizona Breathe Free Newsroom. "Multiple medical visits to get symptoms managed can lead to a significant cost. Sinusitis flareups are leading to your having to take days off from work or school; this can be substantial over time."

Sinusitis is a condition in which the spaces between the nose and head (sinuses) become swollen and inflamed, despite treatment. Chronic sinusitis occurs when the sinuses remain inflamed for longer than 12 weeks, according to WebMD. Additionally, simple treatments such as balloon sinuplasty may be effective at relieving these symptoms, and the procedure has a short recovery period.

"My experience with Dr. (John) Stewart at Arizona Breathe Free was nothing short of exceptional. Everyone at this clinic was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with," said Tamara Connor, a patient who received treatment at Arizona Breathe Free in Scottsdale. “I have never had such an efficient experience at a doctor's office."

Untreated sinusitis can potentially result in serious side effects, such as vision loss or other infections, as well as a loss of smell or taste, according to WebMD. Sufferers should see a doctor if they have recurring sinusitis, which is defined as sinusitis that lasts longer than 10 days or if their symptoms do not improve after seeing a doctor.
