For patients suffering from constant sinus infections and the accompanying headaches, lack of sleep and other problems, Arizona Breathe Free Sinus & Allergy Centers in Scottsdale offers a procedure that can provide relief without having to check into a hospital or undergo anesthesia.

It’s called balloon sinuplasty and is performed at our clinic in about 30 minutes.

A small catheter with a very small balloon attached is inserted into the sinus passages. Then the balloon is gently inflated to open the sinuses. It is then deflated and removed.

“Balloon sinuplasty is offered in office, which means no hospitals and those extra hidden fees are avoided,” Dr. John Stewart of Arizona Breaths Free said. “This procedure is minimally invasive, safe, painless, fast and effective. It typically takes around 30 minutes, then you are on your way back home!”

Recovery times can be as little as 24 to 48 hours, and there are typically few side effects or complications. Most insurance companies cover balloon sinuplasty if it is considered medically necessary.

It’s also effective with 96% of patients reporting drastic improvement in sinusitis symptoms.

Dr. Stewart, who opened Arizona Breathe Free in September, has performed 1,000 balloon procedures. He treats all aspects of sinus disease, focusing on approaches and techniques that are cost-effective, results in better outcomes and have fewer complications and faster recovery times.
